FREE Training workshops for Cornwall based Creatives in live & digital theatre

In collaboration with The Young Vic Theatre in London.

A week long workshop exploring storytelling across hybrid platforms.

Participants in two locations (London and Cornwall) working together.

Led by live & digital performance artist Paula Varjack.

There will be 8 London based participants from the Young Vic Creators Programme

Impossible are inviting CORNWALL CREATIVES to apply for 8 Cornwall based places.

London & Cornwall will work together to learn new skills & create new stories.

Workshop sessions will take place simultaneously in London & Cornwall 10-3 Mon-Fri.

In real life spaces & across online platforms eg WhatsApp, Instagram & TikTok.

Participants will receive an honorarium towards their expenses for the week.

You will need to have access to stable Wi-Fi and either a laptop, tablet, smart phone or equivalent. 

In Your House Party is part of imPOSSIBLE’s Island Spin Off programme.

Lead Artist: PAULA VARJACK

Paula Varjack is an artist working in video, performance and participation. 

Though digital culture has always been an influence and element of her practice, in the last two years this has been increasingly a focus, leading to a number of digital commissions, facilitating workshops on devising digitally, curating Real Talk - an instagram live series for Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and setting up the Digital Performance Network - a group of 200+ makers of digital performance.

The Young Vic

Based on The Cut in London’s Waterloo, the Young Vic produce new plays, classics, musicals, adaptations of books, short films, digital projects and game-changing forms of theatre, attracting large audiences from many different backgrounds. They forge deep connections in the neighbourhood through the Taking Part programme, where they engage with over 15,000 people every year via a wide range of projects, from skills-based workshops to on-stage performances. They give 10% of tickets free to schools and neighbours, irrespective of box office demand, and are committed to keeping all ticket prices low. The Creators Program is the Young Vic's national artist development program
