imPossible Producing are running a free hybrid training course for creatives with a connection to Cornwall that will cover a broad spectrum of producing and production management across theatre, events and experiences. Delivered in partnership with national expert partners Gary Beestone Associates and Smith & Brant Theatricals the course is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. It will support the growth of these roles in the Cornish Creative Sector - growing confidence, skills and expertise, as well as creating new connections.
Between September - November 2025 weekly sessions will be delivered online, covering a range of topics from roles & team structures, budgeting to sustainability to health & safety.
Alongside the imPossible team, sessions will be led by regional “guest lecturers” who are established freelancers, practitioners and event professionals in the sector. This programme will be an opportunity to learn from the experts, with the addition of a range of resources supplied to support further learning, along with the opportunity to receive peer support from others on the course.
This course will create new networks, spark creative conversations, promote collaboration. If considering a career as Producer or Project Manager, the course will give you time and space to consider these roles to see if they are the right fit for you and explore how you can progress the important next steps in your career. The course is also suitable for Producers and Production Managers at any stage of their career - who feel they would benefit from some free professional development (to cement what you know and/ or stretch your knowledge further).
