The Island

Bringing together Artists, Activists, Producers & People who make things happen.

imPOSSIBLE was set up to champion individuals.

The Island is an online and live residency programme as part of our our artist and new work development offer.

Since 2020 we have delivered 3 Island Programmes supported by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Arts Council England supporting 67 creatives and 5 companies.

We bring together local, national & international creatives making contemporary creative work through conversations, workshops, commissions, R&D and Cornwall based residentials to support new work, connections, artistic growth and networks. We also offer producing and strategic development support for artists across the year in partnership with Hall for Cornwall.

In 2020 we piloted the programme with 10 Artistic Directors from across the UK as part of our Big Skies programme which ultimately became the blue print for The Island.

Through The Island we have developed new productions, new connections, new companies, new ideas and new friendships.
